A city of Madison Alcohol License Review subcommittee denied the owners of the Silk Group three licenses that it would need to open and operate a strip club it had hoped to purchase on East Washington Avenue.
Silk Group wanted to buy and renovate Visions Night Club at 3554 E. Washington Ave. and obtain the alcohol and entertainment licenses while Visions was closed by city order for three months. According to a WIBA radio report, the subcommittee ruled against the group, which owns four clubs in Wisconsin, including one in Middleton.
