The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) said in a new analysis that the Senate’s changes to President Donald Trump’s big tax bill would add $3.3 trillion to the U.S. debt load and result in even higher losses of health care coverage, according to the Associated Press.

The projected debt increase would occur between 2025 and 2034 and would be nearly $1 trillion higher than that of the House-passed bill, which the CBO said would add $2.4 trillion to the nation’s debt over a decade.

Additionally, the analysis found that 11.8 million more Americans would become uninsured by 2034 in the event that the bill becomes law. The House-passed version of the bill would have led to 10.9 million more uninsured.

The numbers provide another obstacle for Republican leaders as they attempt to pass the bill by a July 4 deadline.
