Semi-pro basketball team the Madison Mavericks will begin its fourth season at the Madison College gym this Saturday, April 6, with a noon game against the Chicago Rebels, Madison365 reports. The Mavericks compete in the Hype Hoops League and will be coached by Demitri Visvardis, who last year worked as assistant coach.

The team saw a promising season last year, coming up one game short of the championship after losing in the semifinals to Quad City United. The Mavericks have a 20-man roster this season with both new and returning players. They will have 15 active players each week.

Games are family-friendly with free admission for children attending with an adult. The opening game will feature raffles, giveaways, and a Special Olympics halftime.
