Second Harvest Foodbank is seeking additional community support this September during Hunger Action Month.

The national campaign works to raise awareness of food insecurity, which in southwestern Wisconsin has reached its highest rate in over a decade, with nearly 147,000 people facing hunger, including almost 40,000 children.

Community members can get involved locally by donating here or taking the following actions:

  • Wear orange on Hunger Action Day, Sept.9, and submit a photo here. Each of the first 500 photos submitted will help provide up to 10 bags of groceries to area families facing hunger.
