Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin has hired Jeff Thompson as vice president of finance. Thompson is a licensed CPA with more than 20 years of experience in financial process and management.
Thompson is a University of North Dakota graduate with a bachelor of accountancy and a minor in communications. He is a current member and former president of the Great Lakes Chapter of the National Society of Accountants for Cooperatives. Before joining Second Harvest, Thompson held various accounting and finance roles in the dairy industry.
In his new role, Thompson will be responsible for directing the financial and accounting practices of Second Harvest, including budgeting, audit activities, regulatory compliance, grant financial activity, banking activities, inventory, and risk management.
