“Scouting for Food,” an annual food drive hosted by the Glacier Edge Council of the Boy Scouts of America, will return to Verona on March 9–10, according to the Verona Press. The Verona Boy Scouts collected a record-setting 19,000 pounds of donations over the two-day drive in 2023.

The drive gathers roughly 100,000 pounds of food for over 35 community food pantries; the proceeds of the event in Verona will benefit Badger Prairie Needs Network (BPNN).

It will take place at Miller and Sons Supermarket from 9 a.m.–4 p.m. Scouts will provide shoppers with a list of food and nonfood items needed by BPNN. Monetary donations are also welcome.
