What would be a good day for a tax cutter like Scott Walker to announce his candidacy for re-election? How about next Tuesday, April 15 — tax day?
Much fuss and bluster about Gov. Walker getting a college degree. Of course, our acquaintances on the left like to boast how much smarter they are than the man who continues to befuddle them. That’s their problem.
Isn’t the question upside down? Shouldn’t college students aspire to be governor, not the other way around? Reminds me that the Squire finished his fifth year in college (cue Bluto Blutarski) one credit short. To get that precious credit, he took a phy ed course that required golfing 18 holes every day for two weeks. True, such academic rigors have served me well.
Folks like Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, and Harry Truman didn’t get a college diploma either.
A partisan political corporation that speaks as if it were a person contends that Gov. Walker “can barely focus on what’s going on in Wisconsin these days because he is so overwhelmed with presidential ambition …”
Babbling, bleary-eyed, stumbling over his own shoelaces he’s so overwhelmed. Or, maybe it’s his enemies who are pixillated on Old Demon Walker Hate … I guess tax cuts and a full treasury represents failure to our progressive acquaintances (for they ARE …).

Gov. Walker signed 62 bills into law Tuesday, WisPolitics reports. Maybe he’s got writer’s cramp.
Time for adjournment, Sen. Ellis. Republicans demand good government. It was Republicans who proposed the idea of term limits; public servants like Scott Klug made good on their promise to serve and return to civilian life. Republicans immediately stripped Assembly Majority Leader Bill Kramer of his post; they are demanding his resignation.
Of his unguarded barroom talk, Senate President Mike Ellis now says he didn’t know forming a supposedly independent attack group was illegal. The Pants on Fire needle just jumped the gauge. Ellis has been an avatar of campaign finance reform. The only thing that he did not know was that he was being recorded. (The smoking gun video here.)

Step aside gracefully, Senator. You’ve had an honorable legislative career: 44 years! Just don’t file for re-election. You lost the conservatives a few years ago, you won’t take any Democrats from Penny Bernard Schaber, and you just lost independents. Appleton-Neenah-Menasha has become a swing district. Republicans are not going to lose it by running damaged goods. They’re already recruiting.
Hello, I must be going. Did Demo Party boss Mike Tate blow off his scheduled appearance on Wisconsin Public Radio Wednesday morning? (Big Question: Walker Or Burke For Governor?) Former state chair Joe Wineke apparently was called in to pinch hit opposite state GOP Vice Chairman Brian Schimming. Could it have something to do with the St. Norbert College poll finding Mary Burke 15 points behind Scott Walker? (More from Brother Binversie.)
