In separately filed notifications with the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, Schoep’s Ice Cream and bartaco announced their intentions to lay off workers in response to the COVID-19 crisis. Schoep’s stated it will cease most of its normal operations at the 514 Division St. plant and lay off 56 workers until early May.
Meanwhile, bartaco restaurant announced it will lay off 67 workers at its Hilldale Shopping Center location due to the closure.
