The South Central Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO (SCFL) will host LaborFest 2024, celebrating Labor Day on Monday, Sept. 2 at the Madison Labor Temple grounds, 1602 S. Park St., from noon–5:30 p.m.
Cris Plata with Extra Hot and the Chris O’Leary Band will perform at noon and 3 p.m., respectively. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Children’s activities will include a bounce house, magic shows, face painting, and balloon twisting. LaborFest is free and open to the public.
SCFL’s Community Services Committee will be taking collections for students whose families are homeless or in unstable housing. Gift cards of all types are most needed.
