The Small Business Development Center reported it helped clients impacted by COVID-19 secure $21.1 million in federal aid and $7.7 million in state aid in 2020.
The SBDC worked collaboratively with the Wisconsin district office of the U.S. Small Business Administration to help businesses understand and apply for CARES Act funds in the form of Paycheck Protection Program loans, Economic Injury Disaster Loans, and EIDL Advance. At the state level, “We’re All In” grants from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. also provided some relief from the economic effects of COVID-19.Â
