Sandra Gajic, 66, the president and CEO of Overture Center for the Arts, passed away Friday after a seven-month battle with cancer.
Hired in the summer of 2018, Gajic was proud to be the first woman to run Overture Center.
According to a release, Gajic died at Agrace Hospice in Fitchburg, surrounded by immediate family.
The Overture Board of Directors Executive Committee will meet Monday to decide on plans for an interim CEO.
