The Dane County Salvation Army is hoping to demolish its aging and inadequate building at 630 E. Washington Ave. and replace it with a six-story building that would provide an emergency homeless shelter for single women and families, add affordable and some market-rate housing, and expand other services, according to a Wisconsin State Journal report.
