The kayak community was in chaos last year when it seemed as though Rutabaga Paddlesports would be closing.
Owner Darren Bush was originally going to shutter the store at the end of 2025 as he pursued a career as a hospice chaplain.
It has yet to sell, but Bush posted on social media that the business at 2620 Rimrock Road, listed for over $3.5 million, is still for sale.
“We’re grateful for your support and thank you for telling people we’re still open and doing well,” Bush said in a social media post. “The shop is still for sale, and we continue to interview potential owners. When we find the right one, we’ll let you know.”
