Rowland gives $10 million for new UW transplant clinic

Pleasant Rowland, the founder of American Girl, is donating $10 million to support the construction of a new transplant clinic at the University of Wisconsin hospital, according to a statement from UW Health. The new $20 million clinic is planned near the UW Hospital and Clinics’ entrance at 600 Highland Ave.

UW Health will launch an extensive plan to construct the new transplant clinic beginning this spring with goals including improved patient access, expanded clinical space, and allowing for improved technology. The project’s completion is scheduled for the spring of 2023.
