Roundy’s Q4 profits up 6.6%

Roundy’s, the operator of Pick ’n Save supermarkets, says its net income rose by 6.6% and its sales increased by 2.1% in the fourth quarter of 2011.

The company said net income rose to $9.17 million, or 30 cents per share in Q4, compared to $8.61 million or 28 cents per share, in the same quarter of 2010.

Quarterly sales increased to $968.7 million, up from $948.3 million in the same quarter a year ago.

For all of 2011, net income increased 4% to $48 million, or $1.58 per share, while sales rose 2% to $3.84 billion.
