Ronald McDonald House Charities of Madison (RMHC-Madison) has launched the Room for Comfort campaign to provide an estimated 2,000 hotel night stays for families in 2025, according to a press release. With demand for services exceeding available space, the initiative ensures that families with sick children have a place to stay, along with access to warm meals, transportation support, and emotional care.
In 2024, RMHC-Madison operated at over 110% capacity, arranging nearly 2,000 hotel nights for families. Without additional funding, the organization risks turning families away.
The campaign has already secured major support from Exact Sciences, Raymond Management Company, and Numbers 4 Nonprofits. Thanks to partnerships with local hotels, RMHC-Madison can extend its services beyond the House, ensuring more families receive the care and comfort they need.
Community members can contribute by making financial donations, which help cover the cost of hotel stays and essential services. Additionally, spreading awareness on social media using #RoomForComfort can amplify the campaign.
