This year’s Roll & Stroll was forced indoors by steady rain but still raised over $115,000 for pancreatic cancer research, according to WMTV15. Hundreds of participants gathered at Capital Brewery on Sunday for the fundraising event, hosted annually by the UW Carbone Cancer Center’s Pancreas Cancer Task Force.
The Roll & Stroll works to increase awareness and support research for one of the deadliest forms of cancer. The event typically includes a 50K, 25K or 5K bike ride, as well as a 5K run or a two-mile roll-and-stroll open to walkers, scooters, wheelchairs, skateboards and dogs.
