Willy Street Co-op East is debuting a service from Chowbotics that assembles and dispenses made-to-order fresh food through robotic technology, according to a release from the company. Chowbotics created Sally the Salad Robot to offer custom meal and snack options from any combination of up to 22 ingredients for users through a touchscreen interface. The technology protects ingredients in a sealed container under monitored refrigeration with automatic expiry notifications. Willy Street Co-op East joins several grocery brands across the country in utilizing Sally, including Heinen’s in Ohio, Piggly Wiggly in Wisconsin, Reasor’s in Oklahoma, and ShopRite in New Jersey.
