The River Food Pantry named 60 local food retailers Food Waste Fighters in recognition of their food and supply donations throughout 2024. Donations help the nonprofit support Dane County households facing food insecurity while minimizing community-wide food waste.
The River Food Pantry in total recovered 1.8 million pounds of food and supplies that would otherwise have gone to waste over the course of last year. A full list of local Food Waste Fighters is available here.
