Presiding Judge Lisa Stark, state District 3 Court of Appeals in Wausau, blocked Dane County Circuit Judge William Foust’s earlier decision to repeal the state’s right-to-work law on grounds it was unconstitutional.
Stark maintained that the lower court erred when it concluded that unions would suffer harm if a stay were issued.
State Attorney General Brad Schimel requested an emergency stay of the lower court’s ruling while right-to-work remains in the throes of an appeals process.
