Ride the Drive — a free, one-day event promoting the use of alternative transportation with miles of open streets — is set to return in summer 2024, according to the city of Madison. The Madison Parks Foundation has donated $10,000 to this year’s event.

On Sunday, Aug. 11, from 10 a.m.–2 p.m., a route through six key Madison parks will aim to connect the community, encourage outdoor activity, and foster appreciation for green spaces. Each of the six park hubs offers activities for all ages, food, and entertainment.

Businesses and groups eager to contribute to the success of this event may participate at a level that works for them through volunteering, sponsorship, or becoming a vendor.

More than 400 volunteers will be needed to ensure a safe experience for all participants. Most volunteer positions are for two–three hours.
