SSM Health’s $75 million, 179,640-square-foot, five-story clinic proposed for Madison’s south side will move forward despite concerns over demolishing 11 houses, according to a report in The Capital Times.
The Madison Plan Commission recommended Feb. 24 to rezone the affected properties to allow the new clinic and 246-stall parking lot west of South Street in addition to a 274-stall parking lot east of South Street. The new clinic will replace the SSM Health clinic at 1313 Fish Hatchery Road.
The City Council will consider the commission’s recommendations at its meeting on March 3.
