The Dane County Plan Commission has passed the Oscar Mayer Special Area Plan on Madison’s north side that was revised to include 14.1 acres of preserved wetlands and open space, according to a Capital Timesreport.
As part of a project that will connect the north and east side, create a public transit and bicycle hub, allow for a walkable commercial district, and build a major employment corridor, the commission approved space for new housing up to 2,780 units, including 395 units of high-density affordable housing.
