The companies, people and issues shaping business in Madison and the Capital Region.

What used to be the heart of Madison’s Greenbush neighborhood downtown, a 26-acre triangle of land bordered by South Park Street, Regent Street, and West Washington Avenue, is being eyed for a massive improvement project by the Community Development Authority and the Bayview Foundation.

According to the Wisconsin State Journal, the “Triangle,” a massive housing development that began in 1965, includes more than 400 low-income and deteriorating housing units occupied mostly by a culturally diverse population including low-income seniors and/or people with disabilities.

Redevelopment and upgrades could cost as much as $50 million.
