A dinner-hour fire has caused extensive damage to Maple Tree Supper Club in McFarland, according to a Wisconsin State Journal report. The fire started in the kitchen of the restaurant, located at 6010 Hwy. 51, at around 5:20 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 5, and caused the evacuation of the building. No injuries were reported but the kitchen and roof suffered significant damage, with damage extending into the main dining room. The business will remain closed for an unknown period of time. The damage estimate is still being determined.
