Republicans urge the use of fed dollars for unemployment relief

Republicans in the State Assembly say Gov. Tony Evers should use the state’s remaining federal pandemic relief funds to provide assistance to state employees still waiting for unemployment benefits, according to a Wisconsin State Journal report.

The 100% forgivable bridge loan program would use a portion of the more than $280 million in remaining CARES Act funds.
