A report from Construction Coverage revealed that Wisconsin is home to 132,857 small businesses, accounting for 2.29 businesses for every 100 residents.
The average per 100 residents in the entire United States is 2.27. The report also listed 33,731 retail, accommodation, and food service small businesses in the state. Additionally, 8.3% of workers in Wisconsin are self-employed, compared to 9.8% nationally.
