The latest report from the Wisconsin Realtors Association (WRA) speculates that rising mortgage rates will likely curb demand in the housing market. However, buyers who can make all-cash offers or large down payments will likely not be as affected by higher rates. The March 2022 WRA Housing Report stated that the statewide number of home listings is down 16.2% from last March with the average months of inventory at 2.5 months, down 16% from last March. The average median price for the state is $253,500, up 10.2% from last year.
