Madison School Board member Mary Burke has confirmed that she’s thinking about running for governor in 2014. The former Commerce Department secretary and Trek Bicycle executive told the Wisconsin State Journal that she is “talking to people about” a challenge to Gov. Scott Walker. Democratic Party Chairman Mike Tate told the State Journal that Burke is one of only three Democrats who have shown interest in running against Walker. The others are Winnebago County Executive Mark Harris and state Sen. Kathleen Vinehout.
