An impact study from Philadelphia consulting firm Econsult Solutions Inc. found that the impact of University of Wisconsin–Madison athletics on the state economy was $757 million, up 24% from 2019, according to a Wisconsin State Journalreport. In 2019, the annual impact was $610 million, down from $970 million in 2011. According to the new report, Badger athletics are also responsible for supporting 5,640 jobs and $285 million in earnings.
