By working from home, Wisconsin workers have regained 8.6% of their workweek, according to a report from CoPilot. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, commuting to work was a habit for most American workers and now that many workers are remote, they are shaving time off of their workweek.

In 2018, Americans spent an average of 4.5 hours per week on their commute. Prior to COVID-19, the total number of people commuting had reached almost 118 million by 2018 with about three-quarters of workers driving to work alone.
