Minnesota state regulators have approved the sale of Alliant Energy Corp.’s natural gas distribution business in southeast Minnesota to Minnesota Energy Resources Corp. The sale will affect 10,600 customers. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2015. Alliant is also pursuing the sale of its Minnesota electric service area. That transaction is still in the regulatory approval phase.
