The Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce will host nearly 1,300 business and community leaders on Oct. 21 at Monona Terrace for its 72nd Annual Dinner, taking place from 4-8:30 p.m.
The evening’s keynote speaker will be Daryl Fairweather, chief economist at the real estate brokerage and technology firm Redfin. Fairweather holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a master’s and Ph.D. in economics from the University of Chicago.
Prior to joining Redfin, Fairweather worked as a researcher at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston studying why homeowners entered foreclosure during the 2008 housing crisis, then as a senior economist at Amazon working on employee engagement and managing a team of analysts.
