has received a $50,000 anonymous donation to help support the center’s relocation to a new facility on Winnebago Street, according to a release from the organization. The donation is in support of the organization’s $1.5 million capital campaign for a multiuse building at 2340 Winnebago St. The larger facility is needed to accommodate the growing number of children on the center’s waitlist.
The anonymous donation will be matched by the Otto Bremer Trust, which will match all donations to the capital campaign up to $150,000. More than 38% of Red Caboose students are children of color and 32% come from low-income families, qualifying for financial and meal support. The new Winnebago Street location will include referral and support services for children and families, including more support for special needs children.
