With hopes to unionize, a group of 34 workers at Middleton-based Raven software has approached the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), according to a report from the Wisconsin State Journal. The action was taken after the parent company, Activision Blizzard, did not meet the group’s deadline for voluntary recognition. The group, named the Game Workers Alliance, was formed with Washington, D.C.-based Communications Workers of America. The deadline for Activision Blizzard to recognize the group was Jan. 25, 2022. Since then, the group has filed a petition with the NLRB for a union election. The group said that they have a supermajority of votes within their department, which means they can form a union without Activision’s recognition.
