The U.S. supply chain may be threatened as railroad engineers accepted a deal with the railroads but conductors rejected theirs, according to a report from the Associated Press. The votes could threaten the health of the economy just before the holidays because of a threat of work stoppage. Labor Secretary Marty Walsh outlined that Congress may get involved if ongoing negotiations between railroad companies and union leaders fall through.
