Jamie Nicole Morelan of Racine has been crowned Miss Wisconsin Volunteer 2024. She earned the title after a statewide search for a candidate who best embodies the mission of the national women’s empowerment organization based in Jackson, Tennessee.

Morelan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from UW–Parkside and was involved with nonprofit Active Minds throughout her time in college. She currently is a career advocate with Equus and helps match people in need to jobs. Her personal platform is “Making Your Mess Your Message,” which encourages individuals to share their obstacles with people, empowering them to overcome challenges in their own lives.

Morelan will travel across the state, working with numerous organizations. She will go on to compete alongside representatives from all other states at the national Miss Volunteer America pageant in Jackson on June 22. The competition scores candidates across four stages of competition: interview, talent, evening gown and fitness, and wellness.  The winner will receive scholarship opportunities and take her platform nationwide.

On Jan. 20, the Miss Wisconsin Volunteer program will crown its teen winner who will compete for the title of Miss Teen Volunteer America on March 9, also in Jackson.
