QTS Data Centers is moving forward with plans for a state-of-the-art, multibillion-dollar data center campus in Dane County, as well as $50 million in community investments.
QTS will submit a zoning application to the DeForest Village Board in November, and if approved, would set it on a path to “create thousands of construction jobs and hundreds of full-time positions, supporting local suppliers and businesses and partnering with local building trade unions,” QTS said in a statement.
It also expects to generate millions of dollars in tax revenue.
If the plan moves forward, the company said it would invest $50 million to support local initiatives to strengthen education, workforce development, housing and other critical needs in Dane County.
QTS will pay for all project energy infrastructure.
