Oak Park Place of Madison is reportedly considering the Pyare Square building site for a senior housing development. The round, 14-story tower across from Hilldale Mall was built in 1969 and has been largely vacant since 2005. Now the village of Shorewood Hills is working on an approximately $40 million tax incremental financing plan for the senior housing project. Madison-based Oak Park Place, with locations in Albert Lea, Minn.; Dubuque, Iowa; Baraboo; and Wauwatosa, offers housing units to seniors based on the level of care needed.
