According to a recent press release, representatives from Municipal Electric Utilities of Wisconsin (MEUW) are meeting with legislators on Wednesday, Oct. 18 to discuss issues important to over 80 Wisconsin communities that count on community-owned utilities to keep the power on.

The meetings — beginning at 9:30 a.m. — will be followed by a “Public Power on Parade” including more than 80 bucket trucks from utility companies across the state, making their way to Madison in celebration of MEUW’s 95th anniversary.

The truck drivers will assemble in Waunakee at noon before driving down East Washington Avenue and encircling the Wisconsin State Capitol Building three times.
