Public invited to celebrate new artwork at Southwest Madison Employment Center

New artwork by “The Artist,” depicting scenes from the Civil Rights Era, has been installed at the Southwest Madison Employment Center, located at 1233 McKenna Blvd., according to the city of Madison.

The public is invited to join a celebration on Wednesday, June 19, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The event will feature The Artist, Alderperson Barbara McKinney, the Urban League of Greater Madison’s Dr. Ruben Anthony and Ed Lee, city staff, members of the Madison Arts Commission, and the Friends of the Madison Arts Commission (FoMAC).

Brief remarks will be made at 6:15 p.m, and light snacks will be provided by FoMAC.
