Developers of a boutique hotel proposed along State Street shared their vision with neighborhood residents. Ascendant Holdings Real Estate shared updates on plans for Provenance Hotel, a 110-room hotel that would employ about 25 people.
The hotel would require demolition of two buildings, one at 122 State St. and one at 118 State St. Plans also include a request to rent 60 spaces from the State Street Capitol Garage across the street, according to an Isthmus article.
Parking is at a premium downtown and could become even more scarce if the Madison College Board approves a plan for its site that includes yet another hotel that also will need more spaces.
