Nineteen cashier positions are likely to be eliminated from the Madison Parking Utility if the proposed city budget is implemented as is, according to a Wisconsin State Journalreport.
The parking cashier positions have been reduced to reflect the decrease in city garage use during the COVID-19 pandemic. The mayor’s 2021 budget does not fund the equivalent of 19 full- and part-time employees.
