The city of Madison is seeking RFPs for the former Truman Olson United States Army Reserve Center at 1402 S. Park St. from adjacent neighbors Wingra Building Group, Shenandoah Apartment LLC, Welton Family LTP, and Midwest Real Estate Properties, according to an article in The Capital Times.
The redevelopment should include a grocery store and workforce housing targeted to residents making 50% to 80% of the average median income as outlined in the Wingra BUILD neighborhood plan.
Wingra BUILD, which stands for “Better Urban Infill Development,” also seeks to minimize city investment and increase both tax base and density in the area.
