A major renewal effort is being proposed for University Research Park, a sprawling biotech business area on Madison’s West Side, according to a Wisconsin State Journal report.
The Mandel Group of Milwaukee and the development are partnering on an ambitious, multiphase project with 400,000 square feet of new construction. The “Element Collective” proposal includes housing, a hotel, lab/office space, food hall, climbing gym, and parking and will be a major renovation of the 250-acre park. An online neighborhood meeting is set for Nov. 16, at 7 p.m., to share the details of the plan.
