Gov. Tony Evers announced that an application has been submitted to the Federal Emergency Management Agency to begin the development of an alternative COVID-19 care facility at Alliant Energy Center, according to a story by the Wisconsin State Journal.
If approved, the Army Corps of Engineers would work with contractors to develop the facility.
