Gov. Tony Evers and Sen. Ron Johnson hold slim leads as the races for governor and U.S. senator tighten, according to a new poll from Marquette Law School. In the governor’s race, 47% of likely voters support Democratic incumbent Tony Evers, while 44% favor Republican Tim Michels. Joan Beglinger, the independent candidate who ended her campaign in September, received 5% of the responses. In August, Evers received 48%, Michels 44%, and Beglinger 4% among likely voters. Among people likely to vote in the Senate election, 49% support Johnson while 48% support his opponent, Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes. In the August Marquette Law School poll, Johnson trailed Barnes by 7%.
