A Piplsay and Market Cube nationwide survey garnering over 21,000 responses found that regular cleaning of high-touch surfaces and the use of hand sanitizer and masks are the most comforting safety practices that a business can perform.

The survey conducted June 4–6 asked individuals 18 and over about their attitudes about returning to businesses as they begin to open back up. Insights of the survey include:

  • 49% of Americans want restaurants to provide drive-thru and take-out options for customers; 25% are comfortable dining-in;
  • 39% of Americans want supermarkets and retailers to continue providing home deliveries and curbside pickup; and
  • 75% of Americans would prefer watching live sports and entertainment shows on TV.
