A new Marquette Law School Poll of Wisconsin registered voters found that former Vice President Joe Biden has 49% support in the bid for the presidency, while incumbent President Donald Trump trails with 41% support. Ten percent of poll respondents stated they didn’t know who they’d vote for, they’d vote for neither, or they declined to answer. Biden’s support shows an increase from a May poll that showed him at 46% and Trump at 43%.
The poll also measured attitudes of voters towards the Black Lives Matter protests and COVID-19. Sixty-one percent of voters approve of the mass protests since the death of George Floyd, and there is decreasing concern about COVID-19 since the May poll, though the latest poll was taken before spikes in COVID-19 cases throughout the state in July.
The current poll was conducted June 14–18, 2020 and included 805 registered voters in Wisconsin. Full results and survey methodology can be found here.
