Poll: Americans fear new strains, expect more lockdowns

A new poll from Piplsay of 30,248 Americans has found that 71% of Americans fear the more dangerous COVID-19 virus strains in the coming months and 68% expect more restrictions and lockdowns this year because of them.

Thirty percent of Americans do not expect normalcy to return this year and 20% do not expect normalcy for the next seven to nine months. A new virus strain has been detected in the UK and at least 10 states in the U.S.
